How to Connect Whatsapp Official API With Wabpo

Step 0: Before You Start

Before you start, make sure you have:

• A WABPO account
• A project already created in WABPO
• Your Facebook login details
• Admin access to your Meta business account
• Your business name and website
• A phone number that can receive SMS or calls
• If possible, use a number not already connected to another WhatsApp API setup

Tip: The connection flow opens in a secure Meta popup window.

Step 1: Open Your Project in WABPO

To begin:

1. Log in to WABPO
2. Create a project if you haven't done so already
3. Open that project
4. Click the "Connect Meta" button

Tip: This button starts the Meta connection process.

Step 2: A Meta Popup Will Open

When the Meta popup appears:

1. A secure popup window will appear
2. Click Continue or Get Started
3. If asked, log in to Facebook
4. Use the Facebook account that manages your business

Tip: If the popup does not open, allow popups in your browser.

Step 3: Review and Allow Permissions

Permissions you’ll need to review:

1. Meta shows what access WABPO needs
2. Read through the permissions shown
3. Click Continue
4. This lets WABPO connect your business assets securely

Tip: You must allow the requested permissions to continue.

Step 4: Choose Your Business

Choose your business:

1. Select your existing Meta business account
2. If you don't have one, create a new business account
3. Ensure the business name is correct
4. Click Continue

Tip: Use the business account that should own the WhatsApp setup.

Step 5: Create or Select WhatsApp Business Account

Set up your WhatsApp Business Account:

1. Choose an existing WhatsApp Business Account or create a new one
2. Enter your display name if asked
3. Choose your business category if asked
4. Click Continue

Tip: Your display name should match your business or brand name.

Step 6: Add and Verify Your Phone Number

Verify your phone number:

1. Enter the phone number you want to connect
2. Choose SMS or Call for verification
3. Enter the code you receive
4. Wait for the number to be verified

Tip: Use a phone number that can receive the verification code.

Step 7: Finish the Setup

Complete the setup:

1. Meta completes the connection
2. The popup closes or sends you back to WABPO
3. In WABPO, your status should show "Connected"
4. Your Meta account is now linked with the project

Tip: Once connected, you can continue your WhatsApp setup inside WABPO.

If Something Does Not Work

Troubleshooting tips:

• Make sure popups are allowed in your browser
• Check that you are using the correct Facebook account
• Ensure you have admin access to the Meta business account
• Verify your phone number can receive SMS or calls
• Refresh the page and try again if the flow stops
